past perfect tense  – positive

මෙම වාක්‍ය රටාව භාවිතා කරන්නේ අතීතයේ කරලා තිබුන ක්‍රියාවක් පිළිබද පැවසීමටයි . මෙහිදී වාක්‍ය ඒකවචන බහුවචන කියා වෙනසක් නොමැතිව නාම පදයට පසුව had යන පදය සමග ක්‍රියා පදයේ past pacitiple අවස්ථාව යොදා ගනියි .

1. Kasun had read a book

කසුන් පොතක් කියවලා තිබුනා

2. Nimal had written a letter

නිමල් ලිපියක් ලියලා තිබුනා

3. She had  cooked  rice

ඇය  බත් උයලා තිබුනා

4. It  had driven a car

5. Saduni had watched a film

6. I had  read a book

7. They had written a book / books

8. They had cooked rice 

9. They had driven cars

10.  They had watched a film / films

මෙම වාක්‍ය රටාව භාවිතා කරන්නේ අතීතයේ කරලා නො තිබුන ක්‍රියාවක් පිළිබද පැවසීමටයි . මෙහිදී වාක්‍ය ඒකවචන බහුවචන කියා වෙනසක් නොමැතිව නාම පදයට පසුව had not = hadn’tයන පදය සමග ක්‍රියා පදයේ past pacitiple අවස්ථාව යොදා ගනියි .

1. Kasun hadn’t read a book

කසුන් පොතක් කියවලා තිබුනේ නෑ

2. Nimal hadn’t written a letter

නිමල් ලිපියක් ලියලා තිබුනේ නෑ

3. She hadn’t  cooked  rice

ඇය  බත් උයලා තිබුනේ නෑ

4. It  hadn’t driven a car

5. Saduni hadn’t watched a film

6. I hadn’t  read a book

මෙම වාක්‍ය රටාව භාවිතා කරන්නේ අතීතයේ කරලා  තිබුන නැද්ද කියා අසන ආකාරයට යම් ක්‍රියාවක්  ක්‍රියාවක් පිළිබද ප්‍රශ්නයක් ඇසීමටයි  . මෙහිදී වාක්‍ය ඒකවචන බහුවචන කියා වෙනසක් නොමැතිව නාම පදයට පෙර had not =hadn’t යන  පදය ලියයි .  ක්‍රියා පදයේ past pacitiple අවස්ථාව යොදා ගනියි .
